Virtual Pose 4

By Mario Henri Chakkour

Drawing and painting figures in motion is challenging for artists because moving figures are more difficult to capture. The body positions are more complex, the visual weight shifts, shadows change and perspective becomes more important. For these reasons, the sixth book in the Virtual Pose series features models posed in action or motion scenes in addition to traditional stationary poses. Every full-color image included on the accompanying PC/MAC compatible CD-ROM can be zoomed in on for detail shots and the use of the images in the book and accompanying CD makes working with models simpler, affordable, and yet yields the same results as live models.

Mario Henri Chakkour is a digital artist known around the world. He has worked as an animator, illustrator, painter, architect and copywriter and sits on the board of directors for the Art Directors Club of Metropolitan Washington. He lives in Washington, DC.
